Job Overview

We're seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to contribute to our Major Projects safety team, helping build an even brighter future for Queensland's rail network.

This is an exciting time to join us as we prepare for the 2032 Olympics and beyond. You'll be part of planning and preparation, leading negotiations, and developing asset handover requirements.

About this Role

As a Commercial Manager within MPI, you'll manage contractual and commercial items relating to projects within Major Projects Integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Built relationships with key stakeholders including DTMR, Delivery Authorities and internal departments.
  • Led negotiations and successfully navigated governance obligations.
  • Prepared detailed analysis and advice on current best practice to support strategic decision making.
  • Developed asset handover requirements and maintenance agreements with operations and assurance teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of governing legislation, regulatory, commercial and contractual requirements in a government environment.
  • High-level negotiation, implementation and management skills for government and commercial arrangements.
  • Strategic, conceptual, analytical, collaborative and influencing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge interpreting, managing and translating evolving commercial requirements in a contractually diverse environment.
