Job Title

Head of Credit is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the Credit team and leading credit decisioning and risk management initiatives.

About the Role

This role involves leading the Credit team in managing day-to-day operations, overseeing the assessment and ongoing review of the loan portfolio, and supporting the Corporate Credit team in the annual cash flow lending review. The Head of Credit will work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage data analytics and technology to enhance credit decisioning and loss mitigation strategies, aiming to elevate the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Credit team in managing day-to-day operations, including setting performance targets and monitoring progress.
  • Oversee the assessment and ongoing review of the loan portfolio to ensure it remains aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement credit decisioning and risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as finance or business.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in credit or financial services.
  • Proven track record of achieving business results through effective leadership and teamwork.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
