Leadership Role Overview

The Head of Credit is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing credit decisioning and risk management strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in leading high-performing teams, managing complex financial deals, and mitigating credit risks.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage data analytics and technology to enhance credit decisioning and loss mitigation approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Credit team and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee assessment and ongoing review of the loan portfolio; support the Corporate Credit team in the annual cash flow lending review process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve credit decisioning and loss mitigation strategies.
  • Shape risk management approaches and contribute to delivering a positive customer experience.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance or a related field.
  • Previous experience holding a Credit Delegation.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financials to a high standard.
  • Attention to detail with investigative skills and the ability to make logical decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and succinctly with external and internal stakeholders.
