Job Description

    As a Service Desk Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering IT services and ensuring the smooth operation of our business. You will be the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests, providing effective communication to stakeholders and a customer-centric approach to all service desk interactions.

    You will work closely with the Service Desk Manager/Lead to actively contribute to the team's success, ensuring the delivery of IT services within existing SLAs. Your role will involve troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues on a range of systems and technologies, supporting the major incident team when necessary, and contributing to knowledge management.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing ITIL processes to manage incidents and problems, reducing repetitive tickets and increasing productivity and service quality.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues on a range of systems and technologies.
  • Supporting the major incident team when a major incident is identified.
  • Contributing to the education of customers and other members of the support team.
  • Contributing to knowledge management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

    Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a hands-on role within a Service Desk or customer-facing support team.
  • Broad technical knowledge with experience in Microsoft infrastructure (Server, Desktop, AD/AAD, SQL, HyperV), Microsoft applications (Office 365, Intune, Azure), and networking (WAN/LAN/Routers/Switches/Firewalls/VoIP/Citrix/VPN).
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, resolving complex issues under pressure while being organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
  • Excellent customer service focus and telephone manner.
