Lead Care Team and Deliver Exceptional Patient Outcomes

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Unit Manager at Arcare Templestowe. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated care team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to our residents. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team while upholding our core values of Relationships, Uniqueness, Partnerships, and Flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resident Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Care Planning: Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
