Role Overview

This role is a great opportunity to work with our team, providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for enquiries and complaints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver seamless customer experiences by meeting their transactional needs and providing expert knowledge.
  • Educate and support customers to become comfortable with online services.
  • Assist with initial enquiries and refer customers to specialist support where necessary.
  • Facilitate conversations and initiate processes on behalf of government agencies and third-party providers.
  • Contribute to the establishment and development of programs, systems, and procedures that impact customer service delivery.
  • Respond to and manage enquiries efficiently and professionally in accordance with governing acts, regulations, policies, and procedures.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication and customer relation skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in customer service.
  • Experience delivering customer services in person, over the phone, and online in an efficient and customer-focused manner.
  • Understanding of cash receipting and recording through computerised systems.
  • Ability to use modern office equipment and computer software, including keyboard skills.
  • Experience handling and reconciling monies.
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative.
  • Understanding of the City's Human Resources practices, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations and outside normal business hours.
  • Current Working with Children Check (employee).
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process.
