Job Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Psychosocial Risk Specialist to lead our efforts in shaping a mentally healthy environment at a University.

A key aspect of this role is driving the development and implementation of a Psychosocial Risk Register, aligning with our Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan. This involves identifying psychosocial hazards, establishing preventive strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance under standards such as ISO 45003 and ISO 45001.

We are looking for someone who can work closely with stakeholders to enhance wellbeing controls, helping managers proactively address staff and student mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop frameworks to manage psychosocial risks, in alignment with regulatory standards, and support the University mission with tailored initiatives promoting mental health and inclusivity.

This is an autonomous and collaborative role that allows you to implement ideas and strategies, working closely with the Safety and Wellbeing team to ensure our mental health strategy aligns with current legislation.

You will act as a consultant to People & Culture colleagues, fostering a proactive approach to psychosocial education and providing expertise in psychosocial risk management.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field.">
  • Proven experience in a high-risk, complex work environment.">
  • In-depth knowledge of psychosocial hazard management, aligned with ISO standards.">
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to consult with stakeholders and deliver training.">
