About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Chandler Macleod. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and negotiating on behalf of the Agency to advance interests across various forums.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Analysis: Identify and document current business processes to create a baseline understanding of the current situation and processes.
  2. Process Design: Create and facilitate process design improvements by conducting business and systems process analysis.
  3. Program Analysis: Provide program/stream level analysis and produce required analysis documentation.
  4. Requirements Gathering: Provide expertise and support the Product Owner to elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps with input from SMEs.
  5. System Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of proposed solutions and designs.
  6. Transition Management: Lead the transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
  7. Testing and Verification: Support verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Key Skills Required
  • Business Process Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing and documenting current state versus future state process maps.
  • Requirements Gathering: Ability to elicit, document, and manage business requirements into Epics and User Stories.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Testing: Ability to undertake systems testing against defined acceptance criteria during the build and testing cycles of development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating workshops with stakeholders, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and technology teams.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying potential issues or risks, tracking problems, recommending alternatives, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • System Thinking: Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise across new systems and processes within the Agency.
Desirable Skills
  • Data Analysis: Skill in analyzing data to identify trends and insights.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies like Agile or Kanban.
  • Business Analysis Tools: Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines.
Benefits
  • Temporary Assignment: 12-month temporary assignment.
  • Full-Time Hours: Full-time hours Monday to Friday.
  • Locations: Locations considered: Surry Hills, Newcastle, Melbourne, Geelong, and Brisbane.
  • Remuneration: EL1- $602.55 per day + super.
