Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing geotechnical expertise to inform stope designs, ground support assessments and designs, as well as QAQC of ground support and geotechnical monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting day-to-day underground inspections, recommending ground support solutions, managing and interpreting geotechnical monitoring data, and providing timely geotechnical input into short and long-term mine planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented geotechnical professional to contribute to the continuous improvement of geotechnical practices and systems, lead and manage underground geotechnical projects, and prepare technical reports, scopes of work, and business cases for geotechnical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct underground inspections and recommend ground support solutions
  • Manage and interpret geotechnical monitoring data
  • Provide geotechnical input into short and long-term mine planning
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of geotechnical practices and systems
  • Lead and manage underground geotechnical projects
  • Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, and business cases

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
