Senior Technical Specialist

This is a hands-on position that offers a broad scope of responsibility, combining technical engineering, project and contract management, coordination, and execution.
The ideal candidate will help prepare our Services team for the transition and contribute to the successful implementation of the underground paste reticulation network.
As we prepare to transition to Cemented Paste Fill (CPF) in the near future, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting this change.
- Champion a culture of care and act as a visible safety leader for the Mine Services team and stakeholders.
- Analyse operational data and apply business tools to drive departmental capability.
- Lead mechanical improvement projects from planning through to execution and closeout.
- Support leadership in managing risk and understanding risk appetite across mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in heavy industry, mining, or underground operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure such as compressed air systems, water reticulation, pumping stations, barricades, backfill reticulation, and ventilation systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in PowerBI for data consolidation and analysis.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
