Audio Visual Support Officer Job Description

The role of Audio Visual Support Officer is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations within the Command Centre.

The team works under the direction of the AEC Command Centre Watch Keeper and provides general support and level 1 audio visual services to the Command Centre staff.

Effective communication with colleagues across the AEC is crucial in ensuring administrative functions operate efficiently.

During Election Mode, extended hours of operation will be implemented outside standard business hours, requiring staff to work across shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice for all audio-visual equipment within the Command Centre (training provided)
  • Assist in rectifying any issues regarding audio and visual devices within specified rooms
  • Ensure that audio and visual equipment is operational prior to meetings within designated rooms
  • Collaborate with other audio-visual specialists to request assistance when required
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Command Centre
  • Offer administration support to the Command Centre staff
  • Coordinate room access, system accesses, and meeting arrangements
  • Administer SharePoint log books on the Command Centre page
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical proficiency in using audio visual equipment, including Microsoft Teams Rooms
  • Experience supporting audio visual equipment and staff using the equipment
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with corporate systems and multimedia technologies
  • Proven ability to maintain discretion and integrity while handling sensitive information
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support to programs
  • Effective communication skills to address stakeholder needs and expectations across a dispersed network
