About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in the Shellharbour area. This is a permanent part-time opportunity with guaranteed hours and shifts.

About the Job

This rewarding role involves providing domestic assistance, personal care, and social support to older members of our community. Your day will include tasks such as cleaning homes, assisting with meal preparation and shopping, and providing transport to lifestyle activities.

You will work independently to find solutions to everyday problems and know when to ask your Manager for help. As a valued member of our team, you will be supported at every step of your employment journey with KinCare.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
  • Personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, medication management, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing respite and emotional support
  • Social support and transport to appointments
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills through our extensive training programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care and customer service
