Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team in Shellharbour. As a valued member of our care community, you will provide high-quality care and support to older members of our community, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

About the Role
  • This permanent part-time position offers guaranteed hours and shifts, with a competitive salary of $29.51 per hour plus superannuation and paid kilometres.
  • You will work closely with our customers, providing domestic assistance, helping with meal preparation and shopping, and offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
  • Your day will be filled with meaningful interactions, as you assist with personal care, medication management, and mobility and therapy goals.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Domestic Assistance: Ensure the homes of our customers are clean and safe, allowing them to maintain their independence.
  2. Personal Care: Assist with daily tasks such as getting up, showering, and dressing, as well as managing medications and providing mobility support.
  3. Social Support: Offer emotional support and companionship, helping our customers stay connected with their community.
  4. Transportation: Provide transport to appointments and lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and engagement.
Requirements
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle are essential, as travel is a key aspect of this role.
  • Experience working with older adults, preferably in a care setting, is highly desirable.
  • You must be available to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
