Defence Civil Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Defence Civil Engineer to join our National Civil Infrastructure team. As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and management of defence projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong links to the Australian Defence sector and a particular focus on general civil projects. They will also be a qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Society).

You will work amongst a group of highly motivated professionals in an open and supportive culture that values collaboration and creativity. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of our unique shareholder opportunities and share in our collective success.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering defence projects, providing coaching and mentoring to young team members, and participating in business development activities. You will also contribute to the transport leadership group to help define and shape our strategy to respond to the needs of the market.

Responsibilities:
  • Design management, Project Management and coordination of multidisciplinary defence civil projects
  • Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to young team members
  • Business development activities
  • Participation in the transport leadership group
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Strong links to the Australian Defence sector
  • A particular focus on general civil projects
  • Qualifications as a Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Society)
