Job Description

The National Civil Infrastructure team specialises in designing civil aspects for Defence, Transport, Power, Water and Industrial markets. Our work involves providing civil expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks and road/pavement design across Australia, with an increasing focus on Defence infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our NSW team, working on defence projects with support from technical specialists, liaising with clients and design management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design management and project coordination of multidisciplinary defence civil projects
  • Developing a culture of outstanding delivery, including workflow processes from feasibility to detailed design
  • Coaching and mentoring young team members in technical areas, project planning and execution
  • Business development activities, identifying opportunities and securing projects with clients and industry partners
  • Participation in the transport leadership group to shape strategy and respond to market needs
Required Skills and Qualifications

You will be a qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia (or equivalent), with experience in general civil projects and strong links to the Australian Defence sector. You should be a values-driven person who enjoys sharing successes and delivering excellence for clients.
