About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress in the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service. The successful candidate will work with a network of peer support, including clinical supervision, to provide psychosocial supports to clients referred to Congress' SEWB service.
The SEWB team embeds three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required. The Social Worker will assist individuals and their families to access evidence-based Social Work methodologies, including screening and assessments, case management, advocacy, outreach, supportive counselling, and group work.
The role involves facilitating access to community services such as employment and other social opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEWB Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial supports to clients referred to Congress' SEWB service
- Work with a network of peer support, including clinical supervision
- Assist individuals and their families to access evidence-based Social Work methodologies
- Facilitate access to community services such as employment and other social opportunities
Requirements
- Qualifications in Social Work or a related field
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
