About the Role
We are seeking an experienced female Aboriginal maternal support worker to join our Alukura Womens Health team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation.
This exciting position will work in partnership with midwives to improve maternal and infant outcomes by providing social, emotional and cultural support to women in pregnancy and until six weeks following birth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships with clients, confirming follow-up arrangements, assisting with transport, support and linkage to social services and cultural advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide culturally sensitive maternity care services to Aboriginal women
- Work in partnership with midwives to improve maternal and infant outcomes
- Foster relationships with clients and their families
