Young People's Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Young People's Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team and provide guidance and support to young people in their mental health journey.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting vulnerable populations and a strong understanding of social, cognitive, developmental, and mental health issues.

About the Role:

  • As a Young People's Mental Health Support Specialist, you will work closely with a highly communicative team culture to moderate and administer member activity on our online platform.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and responding to content containing safety concerns, following relevant policies and documentation processes.
  • Your day-to-day may involve editing and removing content that violates community guidelines and creating and posting content to provide information, education, and resources to members.

Key Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counselling or equivalent
  • Ability to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as rostered
  • Demonstrated understanding of social, cognitive, developmental, and mental health issues confronting children, young people, and their families
  • Knowledge of group development skills and an understanding of group dynamics
