Environmental Sustainability Expert Role

We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Sustainability Expert to contribute to the successful delivery of a civil bulk earthworks project. This involves working closely with a market-leading civil contractor to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental planning, science, or engineering, with a proven track record of managing environmental aspects of projects throughout construction delivery. They will be responsible for identifying and obtaining necessary approvals, permits, and licenses, as well as ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Environmental assessments and approvals management
  • Compliance with company and statutory requirements
  • Project coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Data collection and reporting on sustainability metrics

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Science, or Engineering
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of environmental statutory requirements
  • Strong project reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
