Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team in the Sunshine Coast.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice on biomedical technologies and Australian Standards requirements in the healthcare environment.

  • Advise clinical, ICT/digital health, and other departments on the management of health technologies and standards compliance.
  • Provide high-level engineering support for the acquisition of healthcare technology and associated systems, including technical specifications, assessments, and evaluation of tender responses.
  • Develop and implement quality improvements and provide training and education to medical officers, nurses, and equipment users on the correct operation and maintenance of healthcare technology.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering as recognised by Engineers Australia or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration as an RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland) is highly desirable.
  • Licences, certifications, and accreditations required to carry out activities within the relevant discipline areas or willingness to obtain such during the first 6 months of employment.
  • High level knowledge and expertise in biomedical engineering or related fields.
  • Ability to apply scientific and engineering knowledge, solve non-routine problems, and achieve defined outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to convey complex ideas and concepts to others.
