Research Development Officer

The University of Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled Research Development Officer to join its Research Development Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Research Development Team to plan, manage, and monitor the delivery of high-quality research grant support and services for the Arts, Business, and Economics (ABLE) Faculty.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality research grant administration advice to staff, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post-award grants matters.
Coordinate and manage client-centric research grant programs in a complex research-focused environment, working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and analyze information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research projects.
Demonstrate initiative, instigate, and undertake tasks with minimum supervision, working effectively both independently and as a team member.
Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, plan actions, and work well to tight deadlines.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity, and sound judgment. They will also possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner to deliver client-centric outcomes. A detailed knowledge of the University sector, funding of research, and related structures and processes in a research-oriented field is essential.
About the Role
The Division of Research and Innovation leads the University's research strategic planning, managing research, partnerships, prioritizing investment in strategic initiatives, and responding to changes in the external environment. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality research grant support and services.
