Project Advisor Role

In this capacity, you will provide expert guidance and support to projects by applying best practice program/project management principles. To excel in this position, you must possess strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, initiative, and the ability to coordinate effectively with others to achieve project outcomes.

  • You will be responsible for working on assigned activities to meet quality and timeframes agreed upon with the project manager or technical specialist, while communicating progress regularly.
  • Provide program/project or business support activities and tasks, such as preparing graphs and statistics, producing or updating project/activity progress reports, and maintaining project controls.
  • Draft correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, submissions, or briefing notes of medium complexity, adhering to departmental standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality processes for the Program Delivery and Integration Office function within the Program, and provide executive support functions as required.
  • Assist with procurement, financial management activities, and reporting.
  • Liaise, consult, and maintain effective relationships with team members, internal and external clients, and stakeholders to further progress work tasks and/or activities.

You will actively participate in performance conversations to build a culture of performance improvement.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Program and Project delivery expertise: Demonstrable understanding of program and project delivery, PMO operations.
  • Critical thinking and analysis: Ability to think critically, assess information, and generate options and solutions to drive the delivery of agreed objectives.
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management: Supports others by providing timely information within own area of expertise, building rapport, and establishing productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Governance and risk management: Analyzes information to proactively identify risks to the team's planned activities, evaluates possible solutions, and takes appropriate steps to mitigate risks.
