The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal part in the success of our team, ensuring alignment with our commercial standards and regulatory compliance. This challenging position involves driving the process for contractual compliance to ensure optimal contractual, financial and relationship management with our subcontractors for new energy storage projects.

This exciting new role will join a growing team focused on opportunities ranging from long-term service contracts to full turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial governance during the project phase, collaborating closely with the project team, legal, engineering, sales leads and procurement.
  • Closing commercial negotiations with suppliers and governing the subcontract execution.
  • Providing guidance and practical support in claims, extensions of time, contract correspondence and contract administration.
  • Actively managing contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting in dispute matters with all relevant parties within the organisation which would include legal, project team and procurement.
  • Building strong relationships with our subcontractors.
  • Some ad hoc travel may be required domestically.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, law, finance, accounting, engineering or construction management.
  • Relevant work experience in a related industry including energy, engineering or construction.
  • A minimum of 5 years managing large-scale projects is required, preferably in the energy, infrastructure or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management for EPC, design and construct (D&C) or long-term services agreements.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation and project risk management.
  • Proficient in project management practices.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate experience to autonomously manage complex agreements.
  • Strong financial reporting skills and ability to analyse financial information.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, energetic individual with a keen appetite for knowledge and problem-solving.
