The Senior Employment Coach will play a critical role in delivering high-quality supports to employees, assisting them to achieve their vocational goals and meet their daily work readiness requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees in identifying and achieving their vocational goals, both within Brite and open employment aspirations.
  • Support employees in their daily work readiness requirements, including providing guidance and resources to help them succeed.
  • Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external contacts, including employees, operational staff, and external agencies.
  • Participate in the administration of the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) and 6-monthly EAP reviews, including assessing employees, conducting meetings, and facilitating employee goals.
  • Identify and assist in the delivery of employee training needs across the organization.
  • Provide general work-related assistance to employees, with a focus on matters arising on the floor.
  • Accurately and up-to-date administration, including case notes on client progress against goals, funding requirements, periodic reporting, recording absences, and individual risk assessments.
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries with employees.
  • Support the Wage Assessment process as it pertains to employees.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and codes of conduct.
  • Ensure work health and safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Maintain currency with NDIS knowledge and requirements.
  • Work within the guidelines of NDIS and escalate relevant information to the Manager – NDIS Employment and Training or the NDIS Employment and Training Lead.
  • Liaise with external agencies/support networks regarding support issues as required and in a professional manner.
  • Support all processes through relevant administrative and planning tasks.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, specifically Article 27 Work and employment and recognition of the right of persons with disabilities to work on an equal basis with others.
  • Passion and commitment to utilize expertise to grow Brite's community impact through employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be professional and effective in interactions when working with people with disabilities and/or those facing disadvantage and at least two years' experience in a comparable field.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, open, honest, and professional manner which achieves a positive outcome.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in all interactions with clients and colleagues, with proven ability to facilitate teamwork and foster cooperation using influence, tact, discretion, and impartiality across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment in delivering high-quality work within best practice, safety, and continual improvement frameworks.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Formal qualifications (Cert IV in Disability and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalents).
  • Working knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Highly effective skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); proficient knowledge of Office 365 SharePoint will be highly regarded.
  • Appreciation of or experience working within a business environment.
  • A personal alignment with the values of Brite.
