About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employment Coach to join our team at Workskil Australia Incorporated. As an Employment Coach, you will play a key role in assisting our customers to set and achieve their career goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges to achieve sustained financial and social self-reliance.
  2. Deliver coaching to improve employability skills, confidence, and career planning to support customers in finding suitable employment opportunities.
  3. Prepare quality resumes, cover letters, and support the job application process to increase customers' chances of securing employment.
  4. Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf to ensure they receive the support they need.
  5. Refer customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health, and financial counselling to address any underlying issues.
  6. Provide additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment to ensure customers have the necessary skills and confidence to succeed.
  7. Document customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
About You

You will be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others, are self-motivated, inclusive, and open-minded, and willing to listen and support without judgment. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs.
  3. Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook to manage customer information and progress.
  4. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  5. Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute to efficiently manage customer information and documentation.

Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.
