SUMMARY:

The Installer is accountable for the installation and maintenance of high-quality natural stone and tile products in upscale residential properties as well as commercial ventures. The ideal candidate must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong customer service orientation.

  • Position: Tile, marble and terrazzo setting contractor - Supervisor
  • Basic Salary: $35.00 per hour
  • Available positions: 3
  • Hours of Work: Minimum 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Extensive experience in tile setting is essential; responsibilities include installing tiles on various surfaces.
  • Punctuality for scheduled appointments is required.
  • Professional representation of the company at job sites is mandatory.
  • Preparation of surfaces prior to commencing work.
  • Utilization of tools such as hammers, power drills, and hand tools for material cutting.
  • Installation of stone, tile, marble, and granite according to blueprints or specifications.
  • Construction of walls, floors, countertops, and other structures in compliance with industry standards.
  • Capability to fabricate and repair materials on-site as necessary.
  • Installation of countertops and drilling of holes for fixtures as required.
  • Verification of the integrity of new or existing substrates.
  • Completion of all projects with attention to detail, ensuring all joints are finished, splashes are caulked, and surfaces are cleaned and sealed.
  • Thorough cleaning of the job site before departure.
  • Effective communication with contractors at job sites to address and resolve installation challenges.
  • Reporting of any issues or delays to the Superintendent and communicating schedule changes.
  • Time spent at the shop for inventory management and paperwork completion.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proficient knowledge of relevant tools, masonry techniques, and materials.
  • Ability to construct, alter, repair, and maintain stone and tile surfaces.
  • Detail-oriented with comfort in working with measurements.
  • Effective communication skills with team members.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime.

DESIRED:

  • Seeking dependable installers with a proactive and customer-oriented approach. A collaborative team player focused on client satisfaction is essential.
  • Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and flatbeds.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2-3 years of experience in stone and tile setting.
  • Proficiency in measurements and installation of countertops, flooring, and wall and ceiling tiles.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of installation and fabrication experience.

Education: Minimum high school graduate.
