This role is integral to the Taxation team, responsible for providing specialist taxation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit Fringe Benefits Tax returns.
- Goods and Services Tax and Business Activity Statements.
- Payroll tax returns.
- PAYG no ABN withholding.
- Conduct research, analysis, and investigation into complex taxation and financial management issues and problems, implementing effective solutions.
- Prepare correspondence and reports using applications such as Excel, Word, Access or other financial management software.
This position plays a vital role in the Taxation team, providing specialist taxation advice on various matters including Fringe Benefits Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Payroll Tax, and PAYG no ABN withholding.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide accurate and timely advice on operational issues, financial management policies, standards, and systems.
As a key member of the team, the Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Taxation function.
They will work closely with other teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Taxation service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of taxation laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
