Financial Management Specialist

This is a key position within our department, responsible for delivering financial management services and contributing to the success of our frontline services. As a Financial Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our resources.
- Provide expert advice to senior managers and staff on financial matters, ensuring that financial information is accurate and compliant with relevant legislation and standards.
- Contribute to financial and business compliance, including revenue, expense, capital expenditure, taxation, and balance sheet management to meet departmental objectives.
- Deliver high-quality costing, pricing, and financial analysis services, and contribute to the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, and forecasting of the department's financial performance and position.
- Provide training and guidance to assist in the maintenance of internal controls and corporate governance, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management and reporting.
- Assist with the collation of annual financial statements, asset stocktakes, account reconciliations, ledger management, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of finance services and governance.
