About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Communications Leader to join our team at IKEA Australia. As a key member of our People & Culture department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy that engages and informs our co-workers across the organization.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the country co-worker communication strategy, ensuring a secure communication process from definition through execution and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver key communication and drive engagement with our co-workers.
  • Build a deep understanding of business objectives across multiple functions to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes.
  • Share information and expert advice with business partners within the scope of the Co-worker Communication remit.
  • Proactively collaborate with global Group Communication to enhance the Co-worker Communication strategy's development.
Requirements
  • A highly influential leader and business partner with a strong ability and passion for securing the co-worker communication agenda.
  • An experienced communications professional with deep knowledge in digital communication tools.
  • Able to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice.
  • Highly experienced in leading communication by planning, executing and following up to ensure that our co-workers are well-informed and engaged.
  • Agile, adaptable and resilient to rapidly changing business needs in order to achieve results.
