The Role

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on machinery, equipment, and production lines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and production interruptions, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment failures and extend their lifespan, promoting a culture of reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring they are properly integrated into existing systems and processes.
  • Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety standards and protocols, promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and parts inventory, to support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance and operational needs, participating in team meetings and projects to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest upgrades or modifications to enhance equipment efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Equipment Specialist in a manufacturing or agricultural setting.
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques for industrial machinery.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
