Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our Cummins team in the Automotive On-Highway division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices, ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, and adhering to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Workshop Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure that all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to, and report any incidents or issues to the Branch Leadership.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all required documentation and reporting, including maintenance records and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on Supervision: Provide hands-on supervision and support to technicians and apprentices as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working on engine products and heavy on-highway vehicles, including Kenworth, Western Star, and International Acco.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with electronic troubleshooting systems and adherence to defined OEM procedures.
  • HR License: Possession of a Heavy Rigid License (HR) is advantageous.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and communicate effectively with a team, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
