Position Summary:

We are seeking a fully qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to enhance our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in refrigeration and HVAC systems, with a preference for those holding dual trade qualifications in Electrical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refrigeration Duties:
    • Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including ductwork and piping.
    • Set up new freezer and cool room equipment, ensuring all controls are operational.
    • Conduct maintenance on ducted HVAC systems in both commercial and residential settings.
    • Diagnose refrigeration problems using appropriate testing tools.
    • Repair or replace refrigeration equipment, controls, and fixtures as necessary.
    • Prepare preliminary quotes and estimates for refrigeration projects.
    • Utilize technology effectively, including iPads and computers.
  • Electrical Duties:
    • Preferred electrical qualifications and experience.
    • Strong understanding of refrigeration electrical systems and air conditioning.
    • Conduct fault finding and repairs on refrigeration electrical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Refrigeration apprenticeship.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the refrigeration field post-apprenticeship.
  • Valid manual driver's license.
  • White card certification.
  • Refrigeration Handling license [ARTIC].
  • Police clearance required.
