Role Description:

  • A Psychologist is required to provide therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of psychopathology, including psychoeducation and skills-based sessions.

The role involves delivering therapeutic services across inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as facilitating evidence-based group and individual interventions within these settings. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with admitting psychiatrists, other allied health clinicians, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Facilitating evidence-based group and individual intervention, within inpatient and outpatient settings, across adult psychiatric, older persons, and early parenting units/programs.
  • Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of psychopathology, including psychoeducation and skills-based sessions.
  • Possessing strong risk assessment and safety planning skills.
  • Working collaboratively with admitting psychiatrists, other allied health clinicians, and nursing staff.
  • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and represent the psychology discipline as needed.
  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Participating in the development and review of programs as necessary.

Requirements:

">
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Appropriate recognised qualifications in Psychology (i.e., Masters, DPsych or PhD).
  • Experience in delivering a wide range of therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience in group facilitation.
  • Excellent organisation, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning, multidisciplinary team.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza.

  • Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
