About the Role

This is a strategic and project-oriented role responsible for evaluating business needs and determining how technology can support those needs. The ideal candidate will make architectural decisions that align with both the project scope and the overall IT strategy, contributing to the development and maintenance of IT group standards and governance.

  • Contribute to the creation of the company's IT strategy by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Align the IT strategy with the organisation's goals for the next 3 years by conducting thorough analysis and providing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine how technology can be used to meet business needs.
  • Maintain alignment between the IT strategy and the organisation's goals.
  • Analyse business requirements and identify potential solution options.
  • Implement 'The Perenti Way' across the organisation.
  • Identify areas for improvement in IT infrastructure and implement solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build relationships with team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and service provision meets expectations.
  • Share knowledge and learning with others to promote a culture of excellence in customer service.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in software and infrastructure solutions across large environments.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and inefficiencies in IT infrastructure.
  • Experience designing, migrating and implementing cloud-based solutions with Microsoft Azure.
  • Background in enterprise solution architecture, finance and HR business processes and technologies.
  • Safety-first mindset.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with iServer 365 is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in the mining/resources sector is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Experience implementing and use of Infrastructure as a Service (AWS) is desirable but not mandatory.
