Fleet Engineering Operations Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the Fleet Engineering team in driving excellence in fleet operations, shaping the future of our organisation.
  • Maintain fit-for-purpose, safe, cost-effective, and compliant fleet standards.
  • Develop and manage capital expenditure budget plans, monitor performance, and provide analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee project management, design, and engineering activities to ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
  • Establish supplier arrangements and oversee vehicle and plant procurement, disposal, and replacement processes.
  • Maintain effective procedures, reporting models, and performance monitoring of external providers.
Required Qualifications, Certifications, and Licences:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, e.g. Mechanical or Business Diploma.
Licences/Tickets:
  • C Vehicle licence up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM)
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar professional role within the Energy/Electrical/Transport/Utilities/Manufacturing Industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP for reporting critical fleet data, including budget planning.
