Personal Care Worker Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional in-home care and support to clients across Western Australia.

  • You will provide holistic, client-focused care in line with each client's tailored care plan.
  • Key responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and working closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care.
  • Identifying client care needs and collaborating with the client's care team is crucial for high-quality, holistic care.

Maintaining accurate daily client notes and promptly reporting any concerns to the RN/Care Manager is essential.

About This Position

This role requires a strong understanding of client needs and the ability to work collaboratively with the care team to ensure excellent outcomes.

  • Providing emotional support and promoting independence through light housekeeping duties is an important aspect of this role.
  • Supporting clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under the supervision of an RN is also required.

Work in a supportive team environment with flexible shifts and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent) is necessary, along with current Senior First Aid HLTAID011 , CPR HLTAID009 and Manual Handling HLTWHS005 . A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence and Federal Police Clearance are also required.

A willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts, strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy for elderly clients, and knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care are highly valued.
