AWS Data Center Infrastructure Specialist

We are the owners of the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
Salary Information$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionAWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a talented Data Center Technician to join our team in Melbourne. As a resolver for your support team, you will troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issues, create and maintain documentation on the technologies you support, and be part of the escalation plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
- Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage and network devices, including the physical replacement of parts.
- Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events.
- Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis).
- This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment.
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Server Hardware Knowledge and Troubleshooting.
- Network Knowledge and Troubleshooting.
- Drivers License.
- Ability to cover 24x7 shift rotation.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Data Center Operations Knowledge.
- Technical Discipline Qualifications.
