AWS Cloud Infrastructure Operations Specialist

At Amazon, we own and operate over 200 data centers worldwide, each housing thousands of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment. Our team works tirelessly to design, build, and maintain these facilities, guaranteeing that they meet the highest standards of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Your primary responsibility will be to join our Data Center Engineering Operations team, where you will assist with on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors. You will ensure that all work performed aligns with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
As an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will also be responsible for maintaining performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance. You will generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed by your supervisor.
Other key responsibilities include learning and contributing to documentation relevant to business and facility operations, assisting with the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints, and participating in routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, and more.

If you're a result-driven individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and self-leadership and organizational abilities, we encourage you to apply. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, is preferred but not mandatory.
