Compassionate Health Support

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to provide therapeutic services and support to our elderly consumers.

About The Role:

This casual role involves working with our highly qualified professionals to carry out duties which complement the therapy program of a consumer. You will be travelling across Newcastle, Port Stephens, and Lake Macquarie assisting our consumers with their care programs.

  • Work under the guidance of our highly qualified professionals to carry out face-to-face and non face-to-face tasks that bring life-changing experiences to participants.
  • Carry out tasks that promote independence and well-being among consumers in their home or community environment.
  • Play a critical part of the service delivery between the consumer and the therapist.
  • Develop excellent rapport building and motivating skills to engage consumers using empathetic nature.
About You:

As a key ambassador and representative of our organisation, you will project a positive and professional image that enhances our reputation within the community.

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instruction and respect scope of practice boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent customer-service and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and complete activities.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
  • Current NSW driver's license and willingness to drive for work purposes.
  • Own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Yearly Flu Vaccination.
