Job Title: Youth Care Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a tertiary qualification in social work, community services or management and have experience in developing behavioral management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviors.

This position works within a trauma-informed therapeutic framework and is responsible for the leadership, supervision, support and development of the Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) team. The successful applicant will have initiative and effective personal judgment when working alone, and be able to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic care that promotes the emotional, social and behavioral needs of vulnerable young people in Intensive Therapeutic Care.
  • Lead, supervise, support and develop the ITC team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification in social work, community services or management is essential for this role. Additionally, experience in developing behavioral management programs and working within a trauma-informed therapeutic framework is highly desirable.
