About the Role

UON Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and strategic Client Account Manager / Client Service Manager to join our team in Malaga.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Sales and/or the mining industry, with proven experience in Energy Operations Sales roles preferably in an Energy environment of power generation and/or dewatering environment.

You will be responsible for managing the relationship between UON and our clients, striving for business growth by overseeing our new and existing customer base. Familiarity with our industry is key to this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong working relationships with new and existing customers through regular communication and in-person contact
  • Assist customers with preparation and implementation of relevant products and sales budget plans
  • Liaise with suppliers to evaluate and recommend the best supply options to our General Manager
  • Strive for continuous improvement of our systems and functions
  • Prepare sales quotes, estimates, and order documentation
  • Provide a prompt and polite customer service
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and workplace health & safety legislation
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Work with engineering, pre-contracts, operational divisions, marketing, and team members from other departments to ensure the highest quality of bids are being produced and all client needs met
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as Key account management or business development, with a proven track record in managing major accounts. Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field is desirable.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in selling Generator Motor Controller (GMC) solution system, renewable energy and battery storage solutions, load bank systems, low Voltage Switchboards, off-grid power solutions with the incorporation of renewable energy sources.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to customer orientation, with the ability to make decisive, commercially sound decisions that benefit the client and the business. Selling with a history of exceeding sales lead targets and consistently hitting deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to engage across all organisational levels, including C-level executives.
  • Adaptability: Skilled in managing and influencing major accounts, with a strong network in both digital and traditional communications sectors.
