Therapeutic Care Worker

The role of a Therapeutic Care Worker involves delivering high-quality care to children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team, the successful applicant will implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver therapeutic care that supports the well-being of children and young people.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Provide positive role modeling and support young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits.
  • Manage household duties and provide nutritious meals in a safe and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask with ease.
  • A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.
  • Applicants must complete mandatory upskilling units as required by relevant authorities.
