We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Coach to join our team. As a coach, you will play a vital role in empowering young people to achieve their goals and transition towards independence.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, fixed-term position within our Better Futures Program, designed to support young people transitioning from Out of Home Care (OoHC) to independence.
Your Key Responsibilities- Assist young people in planning, implementing, and achieving their goals through resources such as Cert 1 Developing Independence, service access, and supports within the local community.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop and review programs that meet the needs of our clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners to enhance our services and support networks.
To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough background in and understanding of one or more of the following areas:
- Previous experience in Residential Care, Home Based Care, Community and social welfare programs, Education and learning, including vocational education, and Homelessness.
- Experience in undertaking a coaching role, including running care team meetings, building community partnerships, and participating in reviews.
A minimum Certificate IV Community Services or Diploma qualification in a relevant field is preferred; however, unqualified applicants with demonstrated appropriate experience working with youth/young people will be considered.
