Lead Community Development Specialist

The Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre seeks an Executive Officer to lead its passionate team and steer the strategic and operational direction of its vibrant, community-managed Neighbourhood House.
The organisation delivers a wide range of programs and services that promote wellbeing, learning, and social connection. Income streams include fee-for-service activities, an Early Learning Centre, room hire, recurrent government funding, and periodic grants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations, programs, and staff effectively.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Drive community engagement, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and funders.
- Support governance and strategic planning with the Committee of Governance.
- Hold tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Community Services, Welfare/Health, Counselling, Adult Education, or related fields.
- Demonstrate leadership experience in community services and development.
- Display a strong understanding of community organisation values and governance principles.
- Hold a valid Victorian Driver's Licence, Police Check, and Working With Children Check.
- Be certified in First Aid and CPR, or willing to obtain certification.
