About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Operations Director to join our executive team at the Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial and operational advice to our CEO and Board, while overseeing the shared services function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and optimise new systems, processes, and technical advancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee complex funding agreements, compliance, and financial reporting across multiple funding streams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, suppliers, and key stakeholders
  • Establish and manage a risk management framework to ensure organisational sustainability
About You

We are looking for an agile and experienced senior leader with strong business and financial acumen. You will have a proven track record of managing resources, budgets, and financial reporting across a complex portfolio. Your highly developed management skills will enable you to effectively lead, inspire, and support diverse teams.

You will also bring:

  • Experience leading and managing a shared or corporate services function
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the cultural and social needs of Aboriginal people
  • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or operations management
