About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including manual handling and PEG feeding
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and communication needs, including using assistive technology
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support workers
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with complex needs
  • Manual handling and PEG feeding skills
  • Full driver's license and willingness to drive clients' vehicles
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleepovers and weekends
