About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including manual handling and PEG feeding
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and communication needs, including using assistive technology
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, and a willingness to learn and commit to our values
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including manual handling
  • Experience with PEG feeding is a bonus but not necessary
  • Full drivers licence and willingness to drive clients' vehicles
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including sleepovers, day support, and in-home evening support
