Accelerating Australia's Critical Minerals Industry

The Australian Government is committed to developing the country's critical minerals sector through strategic initiatives and investments.

This includes helping to facilitate new critical minerals mining and processing projects that create jobs and encourage investment in regional Australia.

The Government's critical minerals agenda encompasses support for the sector through research and development, project and financing facilitation, and streamlined regulatory approvals.

The Critical Minerals Independent Technical Panel was established to provide expert advice to the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources on options to accelerate development of Australia's critical minerals industry.

Drawing on their expertise and experience, the Panel will also provide advice and feedback to critical minerals proponents to help maximise and articulate the economic and strategic benefits of their projects.

The Panel is responsible for providing timely advice to the Department on a range of issues relating to the critical minerals sector, including markets, finance, project delivery, mining and processing technology, and technology and innovation.
