Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Draftsperson/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical drafting, 3D modeling, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Create manufacturing drawings and specifications of designs developed by other engineers in the team
  • Develop 3D CAD models of large assemblies based on sketches and layouts of design concepts
  • Administer the CAD data management system, including creation and maintenance of libraries and templates
  • Prepare and maintain product BOM and BOM cost estimates
  • Communicate with suppliers and organize prototype manufacture
  • Coordinate procurement activities related to product development
  • Inward inspection and verification of parts manufactured and delivered by suppliers
  • Assist Engineers in Electrical, Mechanical, and Environmental testing of new products and prototypes
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Mechanical drafting with good understanding of AS 1100 standard
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (preferably CREO & Solid Edge)
  • Understanding of top-down design methodology would be an advantage
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process capabilities
  • Experience in PLM/PDM systems would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
