At RMIT University, we are seeking a Strategic Leader for Student Experience and Operations to join our College of Vocational Education team. This key role will play a pivotal part in fostering a service culture while driving continuous improvement across multi-year horizons. As a forward-thinking, strategically-minded individual, you will bring a track record of leading comparable teams in size and nature with a strong focus on student service and experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with our broader Executive and Leadership Team to identify and deliver strategic opportunities that enhance the student and staff experience. You will lead a team of student services professionals, ensuring high-quality student lifecycle and delivery services across a variety of campuses. This role is critical in shaping the future of our students and staff, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about driving positive change.

With a strong understanding of the tertiary education sector, including relevant governance and regulatory requirements and frameworks, you will be responsible for interpreting and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and delivering services aligned with our broader systems and goals. You will also play a key role in our College's strategic initiatives, working collaboratively with colleagues and leaders across the organization.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • A proven track record of leading teams in size and nature, with a strong focus on student service and experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying, designing, and delivering service improvements based on data-driven insights and innovative approaches to service delivery.
  • A strong understanding of the tertiary education sector, including relevant governance and regulatory requirements and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and leaders across the organization.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated salary of AU$140,000 - AU$160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
